Innovation Prize 2018 – Call for projects – Deadline on 30th April 2018
For its 10th consecutive year, Universal Biotech, , a Universal Medica Group division, is launching its Innovation Prize.
Are you a young startup or an academic research group?
Are you currently developing an innovative project in the field of Biotech, Medtech or -health? Then the Innovation Prize 2018 is the right competition for you!
Three prizes will be awarded
Three prizes will be awarded this year. Their common objective is to promote innovative projects which strive to improve disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment as well as patient care in the healthcare sector.
- • The Biotech Prize rewards innovative biotechnologies, biological or chemical
- • The Medtech Prize rewards innovative medical devices
- • The Digitech Prize rewards digital innovation in the life science sector (e-health, m-health and connected objects…) developed to assist healthcare professionals or patients.
The jury is made up of a panel of experts from both the public and private sectors. The panel includes representatives from the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology and medical device companies, TTOs, institutes, investment firms and intellectual property consulting firms. Between May and September, the jury will meet for three sessions during which they will select the promising projects in all three categories.
Project assessment will be based on 5 criteria: scientific quality of the innovation, team expertise and diversity, intellectual property strategy, project feasibility and chances of success on the market.
The most promising projects will be rewarded during an award ceremony which will take place in Paris in October 2018. The laureates will win up to 30 000 euros, in the form cash and consulting services.
