Remote pharmacovigilance auditing has been implemented exponentially, but what are its Strengths and limitations?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strengths:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain audit planning (internal, contractors) in any circumstances (pandemic or other crisis situations\u2026), more flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Wider audit scope if needed (including other sites in the group\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Easier review of documentation<\/li>\n<li>Reduced travel costs\/time for auditors<\/li>\n<li>Easier to involve more stakeholders (experts\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of our ecological footprint<\/li>\n<li>More office space available within the company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Limitations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Longer preparation time if the laboratory\u2019s QMS is in paper format<\/li>\n<li>Possible disturbances related to the connection (sound, Wi-Fi\u2026) to be considered<\/li>\n<li>Impossibility of viewing strategic rooms (server room, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Uncontrolled information security (e.g., video or audio recording)<\/li>\n<li>Difficulties in interactions with the auditees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In conclusion, it is evident that the remote audit represents a complementary opportunity to the on-site audit.
